    This was SO interesting! Last year I was obsessed with running, and this year I'm obsessed with ashtanga but I'm not able to do full lotus...yet!! I guess the running made me too tight! I'm also in my 50s but I'm stronger than I've ever been, I have better balance than ever, and I'm only a little less flexible than younger days! But I'm determined to regain that flexibility! I'm looking forward to checking out some of your other videos! 🙂

    What if the pain is a result of overstreching at some point? For example good flexibility and overdoing poses like triangles, paschimottanasana, janu shirshasana .. forward bends? Then would you keep on stretching it, but carefully, so that you dont lose the flexibility, or better leave it to rest. Or work on strenthening the hamstrings? Is the satva food helping for healing injuries like that?

      If you know that it results from overdoing poses, then yes, back off the depth of those poses.

    My teacher in India says in upward facing dog if you move your hips forward you end up in perfect position in down dog and that make sense to me as my upper back is more open now.

    Thank you. Some trachers instruct to stop/out of the asana if your muscles shake. Would you agree, or do you think the shaking will stop over time as the muscles get stronger. Thank you!
